Principal’s Message October 2016

Dear MCS Community,

It is the time of year when we take time to reflect on all of our blessings. I wish you a time of reflecting on all the things that are going right for you. A time to give thanks and praise to the giver of all good things.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2: 6-7 (NIV)

Our September was full of things for which to give thanks and praise!

We had a great Family BBQ hosted by the MCS Foundation. The weather was wonderful and opportunity was provided to meet and greet teachers and Foundation members.

Our junior high students attended the Fall Youth Retreat aka FYR, at Camp Nakamun, where they were challenged to ‘break through.’ They participated in all types of camp activities and had wonderful worship and chapel times. It is our hope that the relationships and commitments made at FYR will go with them throughout the year.

On Monday, September 26 we had the initial Parent Advisory Council meeting for the 2016-2017 school year. It was great to see a few new faces as well as those who have been at MCS for a while. Please check School Zone for the meeting dates and come out and join us as you are able.

In Christ,
Judy Krahn
